le tour de france 0Today is a sad day.  It’s the first day since July 5th I don’t have four hours of the Tour de France to watch.  It’s the first day I won’t be checking Tour Tracker to get behind the scenes info on the race and perhaps the worst part is – no more daily Backstage Pass videos from the guys at Orica Green Edge

What’s the perfect cure for post-TDF depression?  Chocolate.  And lucky for all of us TDF junkies, today is National Milk Chocolate Day.  Not that I (or my fellow cycling enthusiasts) need a holiday to eat chocolate, but you know – today I’ll make a special effort to do my part.

And on this most esteemed food holiday, I’d like to take a moment to DSC01379give a shout out to French Broad Chocolates in Asheville, NC.  Not only is it one of my favorite places to hang out when we’re in town, it has a supporting role in my Immortals novel.   Think – First date… Chocolate… Kissing.  Uhm yeah.  Good stuff.  And speaking of good stuff – FBC’s milk chocolate liquid truffle (pictured right) is AMAZING!!  It’s seriously like drinking a cup of chocolate heaven, but better. Next time you’re in Asheville, you MUST check them out.

Now it’s your turn.  Give a shout out for your favorite milk chocolate. Peace
